Who we are ?
We are a support group for Muslim Homeschoolers in the Toronto and GTA. Our mission is :
To build a support network for present and future Muslim homeschoolers.
To enrich each mother’s unique homeschooling program through the continuous exchange of ideas and resources.
What we do ?
TMH provides a forum for muslim homeschooling women to communicate curriculum ideas, networking information, available resources and children’s activities. All muslim homeschoolers are welcome to join.
Membership
To join us, physical attendance to one of the monthly meetings is compulsory. Please see membership details here
Yahoo Group
Members are automatically added to the Toronto Muslim Homeschoolers Yahoo Group where members can discuss a wide variety of topics related to homeschooling.
Monthly Meetings
TMH has official monthly meetings once every month with the members to discuss and share resources and ideas related to homeschooling. Learn about different styles of homeschooling and catering to different styles of learning in our children. Find out about different curriculum used by other families and much much more. Field Trips
TMH arranges field trips for group members to enrich the homeschooling experience. These field trips not only provide opportunities for hands on learning but also introduce different avenues for exploring, discovering and having fun. Some of our trips have been listed here.
Science Fair
TMH holds an annual Science Fair for TMH kids giving them an opportunity to explore a concept and build a a complete science fair project on that. To date we have had three annual science fairs, each bringing out the creativity and intelect of our homeschooled children. See the flyer for TMH Science Fair 2011 here.
Muslim Homeschooling Conference
TMH initiated the first Muslim Homeschooling Conference in Toronto in 2010. We hope to continue this tradition as a service to the community. Learn about TMH Homeschooling Conference 2010 here.
Workshops
From time to time TMH arranges special workshops for it’s members. These workshops cater to moms, kids or the whole family.

We have been homeschooling for couple years, and are really blessed to be in T.O Alhamdullilah!! We will be at the conferenece Inchallah.
Mash Allah- Congratulations! This looks so amazing! Would you consider providing child care at all? If my husband and I are to attend, we would require child care. Jazak Allah for all your amazing organizing!!

Unfortunately we will not be able to provide childcare this year.
Last year we had offered it but it didn’t work out. We understand it may be difficult to get childcare, especially when both husband and wife would like to attend, but the responsibility of keeping our children safe is something we are not quite ready to undertake. We hope you understand our position.

Assalamu alaikum, I have purchased two tickets for my wife and I to attend the conference. However, I have not received any sort of electronic ticket. How do I present my proof of purchase on the day of the conference? My name is David Galdames.

Dear Mr. Galdames,
PayPal should have emailed you a receipt of payment for the conference tickets. Feel free to print that out and bring it with you the day of the conference as your proof of payment. If for some reason you forget your printout, all tickets purchased through Paypal, will be prerecorded for our Registration table Attendants to use as a checkoff list. Just simply state the name that the purchase was made under.
